THIRTY DOLLARS REWARD!
RAN AWAY, on the night on the 7th Instant, a Ne-gro Man, of the name of CLAUS, or NICHOLAS, about 5 feet, 7 or 8 inces high, thick seet, has something of a Roman nose, a full eye, and a roll in his walk; has been brought up among the Dutch, which he speaks well, speaks English somewhat Imperfectly, with a Dutch accent; Plays on a fiddle (which he took with him.) and is fond of Dancing—Appears from his countenance about 28 years of age; was lately purchased of Philip Dunbar, of the town of Watervliet, in the country of Albany, and Formerly belonged to a widow Lady, of the name Van Schaick, of the city of Albany. Has been accustomed to sail as cook, on board a sloop, from Albany to New-York—Took with him a round grey mixed cloth home-made jacket, and trowsers of the same; like-wise, a round blue cloth jacket, trimmed with yellow binding, blue nankeen trowsers, an old great-coat, a hat, somwhat worn, a pair of half boots, and a pair of new shoes.
Whoever will deliver said Negro to the subscriber or lodge him in any goal, and give notice thereof, so as to enable me to recover him, shall recieve the above reward and all reasonable charges. CAD. R. COLDEN.
