1771: To be SOLD, A Negro woman of about 50 years of age, who is a very good spinner, and washer, and understands all kinds of house work, or taking care of children; is sober, honest, careful and diligent, and as healthy and capable of work as can be expected, considering her age. She has plenty of good clothes, can read, and is very religiously inclined: The owner would choose to dispose of her to a person who would not use her with harshness and severity, nor put her to hard service, beyond her strength. Inquire of the Printer.
