Transcription: June 20, 1781.
RAN away, on Sunday last, a Negro Lad named JACK, a shoemaker, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, has a clumsey walk, and large feet. Had on, when he went away, country linen shirt and trousers, white cloth jacket, an old under green ditto, with shoes and stockings. Whoever takes up the said Negro, and delivers him to me, shall receive a Half-Johannes Reward, with reasonable charges for bringing him home.
