Ten Pounds Reward.
RAN AWAY, from the Lancashire Furnace, on Sunday, the 4th Instant, TWO NEGRO MEN, one named STEPHEN*, a well set fellow, about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, about 35 years of age, walks somewhat knock-knee’d, when spoken to hastily, is very apt to stammer in in [sic] his speech, plays on the violin with his left hand, and is a very black Negro; he had on and took with him, two coarse country-linen shirts, one white ditto, one red cloth coat, one brown ditto, and one white cotton ditto, one pair of corduroy and one pair of black velvet breeches, one pair of coarse yarn stockings, and one pair of white cotton ditto, one hat, and a light-horseman’s leather cap.
The other is a yellowish NEGRO, named GUY, 40 years old, or upwards, the fingers of his right hand were very much burnt when he was a child, and are drawn up, and he limps very much in his walk; had on and took with him, one coarse country-linen shirt, one old green cloth sailor-made jacket, old cloth trousers, yarn stockings, and one blue cloth old great-coat.
Whoever takes up said NEGROES, if in Baltimore County, and secures them, shall receive Twenty-five Shillings, for each; if in any other part of the state, Four Dollars for each; and if out of the state, Five Pounds for each, and reasonable charges, if brought home, paid by
JOB GARRETSON.
N.B. The first-mentioned NEGRO, it is thought, will make for the neighbourhood of Mr. Joseph or Joshua Pusey’s mill, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Lancashire-Furnace, April 7, 1790.
