Ran-away from his Master Richard Smith of Boston, Inn-holder, on
Saturday the 25th of February past, a Negro Man Servant, named Cato;
about 23 Years of Age. He had on when he went away a light colour’d
Cloth Coat with Mohair Buons, a pair of homespun Breeches, two
homespun Jackets, a pair of yarn Stockings, and round to’d Shoes; he
speaks prey good English, but shows his Tongue prey much when he
speaks: He is a Shoemaker by Trade, and can read and write. Whoever
shall take up the said Servant, and bring him to his said Master at the
Sign of Admiral Vernon in King-street, or secure him in any of his
Majesty’s Goals, shall have Five Pounds Reward, old Tenor, and all
necessary Charges paid, by Richard Smith.
And all Masters of Vessels and others, are hereby cauon’d against
concealing or carrying off said Servant, on Penalty o the Law.
