Ran away from his master, William Browne, Esq; of Salem, on the
Tenth of this Instant July, a short Negro Fellow named Maximus, dress’d in Black, who can play well upon a violin. Whoever shall take up the said Negro, and bring him to his said Master in Salem, or secure him so that may be had again, shall have Five Pounds Reward, and all necessary Charge paid.
N.B. The said Negro went away in Company with a tall strait Lim’d Negro Fellow named Will, belonging to Mr. Cockrell Reeves of said Salem. They stole and took with them a large Bay Horse with a large Scar in his Forehead, and a Bay Mare that has been wrenched behind. They are cunning cray Fellows, and are suppos’d to be gone towards New York.
