Transcription: WAS brought to the City Police Jail on the 3d day of March, the light griff boy THOMAS ; is 5 feet 11 inches high ; is about 20 years old ; has a mark of a mule kick on the forehead. Says he belongs to Mr. James Brown, a bricklayer by trade, living in Rodney, Mississippi. The owner is requested to call and claim said slave according to law. E.
