RUNAWAY OR STOLEN. ABSENTED himself since first of February last, Paul, a negro fellow, about 28 years of age, light complexion; quick spoken, stutters a little or stoppage in his speech, high forehead, about five feet high, had on Kentucky linsey round jacket and pants. Also, about the middle of February last, the negro man Doublin, about forty years of age, dark complexion, well made, high forehead, and rather gray, common size, and a rough carpenter, polite and quick spoken, had on the same kind of clothing as Paul. Those negroes were bought of Richard Singleton on the 18th day of October 1839, near Woodville, Missis-sippi. A liberal reward will be given, and all reasonable expenses paid, for the delivery of said negroes to me at Woodville, or to the overseer on the Plantation, six miles east of Woodville, or in some jail so that I may get them. All masters of vessels or steamboats, and persons of all descriptions, are hereby warned not to harbor the above slaves, under the severest penalties of the law.
