$100 REWARD. BROKE JAIL on the night of the 27th inst. J. BURCKHARDT and R. H. GEER. Burck-hardt is small, spare man, foreign accent, with a quick, keen eye and long nose, light hair, from 25 to 30 years old, but has a young look—plays finely on the Violin, Piano and almost every other kind of mu-sical i nstrument. When last heard from he was about 9 miles from Vicksburg on the Baldwin's Fer-ry road, making his way on foot. It is very probable that he will pass by some other name, as he has here-tofore passed by the name of Softjay. Geer is a dark complected, heavy set man, about 5 feet 10 inches high, dark hair and heavy beard, very talkative, and a carpenter by trade. He was shot in the right leg during last summer by the dis-charge of his pistol while in his hand or his pocket; from appearance he is about 38 or 40 years of age. I will give the above reward for the two, or FIF-TY DOLLARS for either of them, if delivered to me in Vicksburg, Miss , or confined so that I get them. jan29 C. STEELE, Sheriff.
