$100 REWARD—Runaway on the 11th inst. from the Mansion House, in Jackson, a negro boy named John, (a cook.) He is a black of good appearance, about 25 years of age, rather thin visage, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, has lost one of his fore teeth, (his teeth are generally open and wide in front,) one little finger is off the hand—he can read and write. Said boy was raised in Mobile, and can speak the French language. It is probable that he may make for New Orleans or Mobile. He rode off from Jackson a black gelding. I will give the above reward to any person who will confine said boy in jail, so that I may get him again. JOHN A. GRIMBALL. Jackson, May 14, 1839. 12.tf
