RUN away from the subscriber about four weeks ago a negro fellow named SCIPIO, a shoemaker by trade, formerly the property of the deceased Mr. Moses Mitchell, can read and write very well, and it is possible he may write a ticket for himself to pass, as he has many acquaintance at Hobcaw, and is supposed to be harboured thereabouts ; he is about 5 1/2 feet high, full faced, and of a yellowish complexion. Whoever will give information of his being harboured by a white person, shall receive Twenty Pounds, and if by a negro Ten Pounds, as I am determined to prosecute them ; and whoever delivers him to the Warden of the Work-house, shall receive Twenty Pounds I forewarn all masters of vessels from carrying him off the State.
JOHN ABERCROMBY.
