RUN away, in June , 1778, a Virginia born negro man, named WILL, about 23 or 24 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, very stout made, has a lump in the bend of his arm, occasioned by bleeding, and has several marks on his shoulders, occasioned by whiping, had on some very good clothes, he is a very good cooper, and carried with him a good set of coopers tools. He formerly belonged to William Powell in Warwick county, and lived in Lancaster , at squire Bristow's quarter, is well acquainted in Gloucester , and has a pass, and endeavours to pass for a free man. He was seen at work at William Currell's in Lancaster county, and is supposed to be lurking in that neighbourhood, is very apt to stammer when surprised or questioned sharp. A reward of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS will be given on delivery of the said negro (dead or a live) to Mr. David Jones , at the hospital in York garrison.—∴ ALL persons are forewarned from harbouring the said fellow, as they will be punished to the utmost rigour of the law.
