RUN away on Wednesday the 11th of June, instant, from my Plantation on John's Island, a Negro Wench, named JENNY , Country born, about 17 Years of Age, about five feet high, slim made, and has a round-face; she took her Child with her, a Girl near three Years of Age. She absented herself last summer. Passed for a free Wench, and both work out and took in Needlework, Washing and Ironing, in and near Charles-Town; she is very artful and plausible, and may attempt to do the same again. All Persons are hereby forewarned from carrying her out of the State, or over any River or Ferry, or harbour, conceal, entertain or employ her, on any Pretence whatsoever, as they may depend upon being prosecuted with the utmost Rigour of the Law, On Convic-tion of any so offending, if a white Person, a Reward of One Hundred Pounds currence Will be paid; if a Negro, Indian or Mulatto, Twenty Pounds. Likewise a Reward of Twenty Pounds, with all reasonable Charges, will be paid to any Person that shall apprehend and deliver her and the Child to me on John's Island or in Charles- Town.
WILLIAM HORT .
