Ten Dollars Reward.
THE subscriber, on or about the first day of January last, lent to a black fellow by the name of Frank or Francis Mercerau, a Violin, which was to have been immediately returned, in-stead of which, he absconded and carried the Violin off with him. Frank is about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches in height, long favored, slim built, and says he is about 70 years of age-his right eye is out, and he commonly wears a leather over it-says he has lived with a man in Albany. The Violin is a peculiarly excellent one, of a yellow colour. curl-ed maple, bottom and ring black, screws-ve-neered in the ends with white, and logwood [brown].
Whoever will take up said Negro, and take him in any goal in the U States, so that the Violin may be obtained, and give notice to the subscriber living in Hoosick, in the county of Rensselaer, shall be paid the above reward, and all reasona-ble charges.
