SIXTEEN DOLLARS REWARD.
Baltimore,
December 26, 1782,
RAN away, from the subscriber, at North-East Tavern, at 7 o’clock, on the night of the 21st instant, a Mulatto Man named ROBERT, about 24 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, or thereabouts; had on when he went away, a white jacket, a brown pair of overalls, old round hat and old pair of shoes, with metal buckles; he is very robust, and very artful; he looks very impertinent, and will probably attempt to pass for a free man, and alter his name; he understands very well the baker’s trade, and has many marks upon his back, occasioned by whipping. Whoever takes up the said Mulatto, and secures him in any gaol, so that his master may have him again, shall receive the above Reward, and reasonable charges, if brought home, paid by
JOHN MAISSONNAYE.
N.B. All masters of vessels, and others, are forewarned not to harbour, conceal, or carry off said Slave, at their peril.
