Five Pounds Reward.
RAN AWAY, on the 1st of June inst, a NEGRO SLAVE, called NATHAN. He is a very black fellow, 35 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, has been brought up to the farming business, in every branch of which he excels, particularly with the sickle. He posts and rails well, is a good gardener and butcher, and is fond of making wooden bowls and spoons. He is also a tolerable carpenter. He is well set, round-faced, his cheeks a little hollow, has good teeth, chews tobacco, and is too fond of strong liquor. His eyes are small, hollow and red. He lisps a little. NATHAN was apprehended at Philadelphia some time in April last, where he had been and in the neighbourhood for eighteen months past. He went by the name of TOM GOOSEBERRY. He is an artful, cunning fellow, has a pass, and no doubt will call himself a freeman. His clothes were an old drab-coloured jacket, of coarse cloth, old London-brown cloth trousers, country linen shirt, and shoes and stockings. If brought home to his master, the subscriber, living in Queen-Ann’s County, Maryland, the above reward will be paid. Should he be secured so as I get him again, Three Pounds will be given.
SAMUEL EARLE.
