SIX POUNDS REWARD.
Anne-Arundel county,
near the head of
South river,
July 18, 1787.
RAN away from the subscriber, on the thirteenth instant, a likely black country born negro man named TOM, a carpenter by trade, a well made fellow, about five feet seven inches high, thirty-four years old, has a scar on one of his insteps, being cut by an ax; had on and took with him a black and white yarn jacket, white yarn breeches, osnabrig, osnabrig trousers, cotton and thread shirt, a new felt hat with a yellow tinsel band round the crown, white jean jacket and breeches, lead coloured coat, cut short, of sagothy, white cotton stockings, white shirt ruffled, white stock, black neck-cloth, pumps and metal buckles. Whoever takes up and secures the said negro, so that his mistress may get him again shall receive if ten miles from home, thirty shillings; if twenty miles from home, three pounds; and if out of the state, the above reward, paid by
