SIX POUNDS REWARD.
RAN away from the subscriber, living near Upper-Marlborough, in Prince-George’s county, Maryland, on Saturday the 18th instant, a mulatto man slave named JACOB, about forty five years of age, five feet four inches high, well made, sharp face, low forehead, down look, large cheek bones, and speaks quick when spoken to, he has a quick short step in his walk, and has a scar on his left knee and leg, is a very artful fellow, says he was born on Herring bay, and once the property of Samuel Chew, Esq; was purchased about twelve months ago from colonel Pigman, of Montgomery county, its probable he may make for that county or Herring bay; he is a carpenter and cooper by trade; he had on, when he went away, common negroes cloathing, but may have got others. Whoever takes up said mulatto man, so that I get him again, shall receive, if taken twenty miles from home, forty shillings, if forty miles four pounds, if out of the state six pounds current money, and all reasonable charges, if brought home.
