EXHIBITION AND CONCERT. —On Thursday evening last, the members and others of the Methodist Episco-pal (colored) Church gave an exhibition at their church in this village. Several pieces, dialogues, and speech-es were recited by the male and female members of the congregation. For a first attempt it was highly credit-able. We understand that the exhibition was got up under the superintendence of Rev. Richard Jackson, a colored man, who officiates in the capacity of preach-er both here and at Flushing. Bu request, another will take place in a short time, due notice of which will be given in the public papers. We think the exertions of the colored people to improve themselves, deserve the encouragement of all friendly to them, and hope to see a full audience at their next public exhibition.
