Ran away, from the subscriber, living near Capt. Charles Ridgely’s Iron Works, on Monday the 18th inst. a likely young NEGRO MAN, named JACOB, about 21 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, had on when he went away, a coarse tow thread shirt and trousers, an old white hat, and it is supposed he may change his cloaths. It is likely he may pass as a common labourer, as he knows how to do any farming business well. It is likely he may pass as a cooper, having worked last winter in the flower-barrel way, and is very handy. Whoever takes up the said negro, and secures him in any gaol, if taken in the county, shall have THREE POUNDS Reward, and if out of the county, shall have SIX POUNDS Reward, and reasonable charges paid, if brought home, by
GEORGE HARRYMAN.
Baltimore County, July 18, 1785.
