WENT from the subscriber’s plantation, near George-Town, on Patowmack-River, Maryland, on Saturday the 16th day of August, 1788, a Negro Man Slave, named TOM, a thick well-made fellow, of a yellowish complexion, 42 years of age, and about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high; he has a remarkable thick neck: He had on and took with him sundry wearing apparel, one or two ruffled shirts, several striped jackets, a lead-coloured coat, black velvet jacket, a castor or felt hat, which he generally wears cocked; he plays on the fiddle, which he is fond of, and is a pretty good cooper. It is supposed that he is making for Philadelphia. I will give FIFTY DOLLARS reward for apprehending and bringing the said Fellow to me, if 100 miles from home, and the same in proportion for any greater or lesser distance.
THOMAS BEALL, of GEORGE.
