NED; a Runaway Negro.
Twenty Dollars Reward.
RAN AWAY, from the subscriber, on Thursday the 17th of December last, a NEGRO FELLOW named NED; between 5 and 6 feet high, full-mouthed, of a yellow complexion, one of his fore-fingers is crooked, and has a knot on the knuckle, with a scar; one of his little toes has no nail, and is bigger than the other, and has very large feet; he can play the fiddle some, but is very aukward [sic] at it. Had on when he went away, an old negro-cotton coat, a pair of patched brown breeches, an old patched jacket, two brown-roll shirts, a good wool hat, and has told his companions that he was going to Maryland, and if he could not get there, he would get on board some vessel. He formerly belonged to Mr. James Walters, of Charles County, Maryland; has money with him, and will probably change his dress. I will give the above reward to any person who will deliver the said fellow to me, in Culpepper County, near Corbin’s Ordinary, or secure him so that I get him again.
JOSIAH STONE.
