JACK BRAY, alias GREEN,
The property of Mrs. Anne Steuart, of Dodon, in Anne-Arundel County, ran away from his Mistress on Monday the 17th inst. then in the neighbourhood of Queen’s-Town—Jack is about 20 years of age, a very white mulatto, short and well set, freckled and has gray or blue eyes, short light hair curling in one row, thick stubbed nose; his other features are strong, and his face rather large for his stature—he wears a tolerable good felt hat, with a silver button, and has a variety of cloaths with him, unless he has disposed of them, which is probable, except what he may have immediate occasion for, as he offered some for sale, a little before he went off, for hard money; but he commonly wore a short light-colour’d coat, of country cloth, fitted, trim’d with pewter buttons, a jacket of the same, and brown cotton or buckskin breeches; he also carried with him a pair of boots, silver plated-spurs, a pair of shoes, overalls; old leather saddle-bags and knapsack, of leather dressed with the hair on—He will pass very well for a white man; was brought up to the trades of a weaver and shoemaker; has been used to drive a four-wheel carriage, at postillion. TEN POUNDS, hard, will be paid as a Reward to any person who will secure him, so that his Mistress may get him again, and reasonable charges, by
CHARLES STEUART.
