SIXTEEN DOLLARS REWARD.
Anne-Arundel,
February 1, 1783.
RAN away, from the subscriber, living at Elk Ridge, on Monday night, the 26th of January last, Negro JERRY: He had on, and took with him, when he went away, a gray kersey jacket, black breeches, and wite [sic] kersey waistcoat. He is about 24 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, has a scar on his forehead, and had pieces of old blankets for leggings; is very smart and talkative; by trade a tanner. He took away a Horse, which was found yesterday, on the commons of Fell’s-Point; it is therefore supposed that he is concealed about that place. Whoever takes up and secures the said NEGRO, so that I get him again, shall receive the above Reward, and reasonable charges, paid by
GEORGE SCOTT.
N.B. All Masters of vessels and others, are forbid harbouring, concealing or carrying off said Negro, at their peril.
