COMMITTED to the jail of Adams county, State of Mississippi, on the 24th July, a negro man named Tom, charged with stealing and running away; he is about 43 years old, 6 feet high; has a scar on his under lip; large beard, and is very black; says he belongs to Moses Webb near St. Francisville. Also, on the 26th July, a negro man named Ned, belonging to John Nichols near Point Coupee, Louisianne; he is about 27 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high; has a large beard; a piece taken off the upper part of his left ear; by trade a blacksmith. Also, on the 3d of August, 2 negro men, who ranaway from Lyman Harding of Attacapas, Louisiana; one named Rees, and the other Harry; Rees is about 40 years old, 5 feet 7 inches high; slender made; has a large beard. Harry is about 28 years old; slender made; 5 feet 6 inches high.——The owners of the above negroes are requested to comply with the law. and take them away. JON A. POWELL, J. A. C. August 11. 33—3
