Girault advertised his plantation for sale. It was on Dunbar's Creek, the head-waters of Bayou Sara, in Wilkinson County; 12 miles from Fort Adams; 9 miles from Woodville; 4 miles from Pinckneyvill. The property was a Span-ish grant of 800 arpans and included an overseer's house, Negro quarters, 42 Negroes— "old and young, a good blacksmith and a good carpenter."
