$20 Reward. RANAWAY from the subscriber's plantation, two miles from Wood-ville, on the 6th of June last, a Negro Man, of common size, named Moses, about 23 years of age, [?] of light complexion; took with him a blue broad cloth coat and pantaloons, a do-mestic roundabout and pantaloons, dyed yellow, perhaps with hickory [?], [?] pair of white pantaloons, and a variety of other clothing— Moses was purchased in North or South Carolina [?]nd brought to this country about three years si[?], by Mr. McCrea, aged [?] Mr. Moses [?]ordon, [?]his coun-ty, from whom purc[?]ased him in Febru[?]ry last. He is a good Ho[?] Carpe[?]er, and, as he can read and write, is no [?] in [?] of a free paper. As Moses was g[?] [?]f st[?]ing [?]y overseer a pretty se-vere blow wit[?] and saw at [?]he moment he ran off, he will dislike the idea of bei[?]g brought back to this place—to avoid which he has no doubt, changed his own name, and shoul[?] he be apprehended will avoid telling to whom he b[?]long[?] [?]r from whence he deser-ted. I will give the ab[?] reward of twenty dollars to any person who will confine Moses in any jail, so that I get him, and if delivered to me here, I will, in addi-tion to said reward, pay a reasonable amount. Abram M. Scott, Near Woodville, Mississippi, Nov. 2[?] 1825. 59—2
