LAND AND NEGROES FOR SALE.—I will sell at private sale, be-tween now and the first day of February next, that large and well known farm formerly the property of Samuel Meek, deceased, lying in the Yazoo valley, Carroll county, four miles south of the town of Laflore, containing 3300 acres ; about fifteen hundred of which is under good fence and in a high state of cultivation, with a good Gin with two Stands, and a Grist Mill, with a fine creek, and several good springs of never failing water, and houses for the accommodation of one hundred hands. This is perhaps one of the most desirable farms for the culture of cotton and corn, as well as for the raising of stock of all kinds that is to be found in the State of Missis-sippi ; being only about ten miles from steamboat navigation, and five for flat or keel boats. The greater part of this farm is new, some one, two and three years cleared, and none the least worn. Also, one hundred and twelve Negroes. It is not saying too much to add, that these are the best lot of hands to be found in any country, be-103 over twelve and under thirty-five years of age, selected by one of the best judges ; consist-ing of blacksmiths, carpetenters, sawyers, ginners, wagoners, cooks, washers, and seamstresses, all young and likely. Also the stock of cattle, hogs, twenty oxen and fifty head of mules, and farming utensils. If not all sold at private sale before that day, then I will sell at public auction, on the premises, the negroes, stock, and farming utensils, on a credit of twelve month ; the purchasers giving bond with approved security. If sold at private sale, the terms will be one-fifth in hand, the balance in four equal annual payment, with a deed of trust to secure payments. JAMES MEEK, Administrator of the Estate of Samuel Meek, deceased. Carroll co. Miss. Dec 17, 1836—22 4w [$10]
