$50 Reward each for Runaways. RAN AWAY from the subscriber, three Negro Men, ALECK, SAM, and JOHNSON. Aleck is a Mason, Carpenter, and Blacksmith, of a yellow complexion, inclined to be bald, sharp features, stout and active, with quite a long foot, and is about thirty years of age. He took off with him a carpet bag, and I presume he carried with him a memorandum book, in which I authorized him to keep his accounts, and collect money for work done in Masonry. Sam is a younger brother of Aleck, also a Mason and may be known by being very likely, straight, with a smiling, good humored expression of countenance. He is a shade darker than Aleck. These two may be trying to get employment as Masons, or at some other mechanical work. Johnson was raised by Mrs. Patterson, of Orange county, N. C., to which place I suppose he will resort. He is about medium size, copper complexion, teeth not very good, eyes red as though he was fond of drinking, quick of motion and speech, a little inclined to stoop in the shoulders as he moves. He is about thirty years of age. He is also somewhat of a Carpenter and Blacksmith. I will give the above reward for the apprehension and confinement in jail of each of the above men, so that I get them again. JAMES W. DOWNEY, Ridgeway, Warren Co., N.C. [illegible]
