FIFTY DOLLARS REWARD. Ranaway on the morning of the 24th inst., my negro man JAMES, commonly called James Bowman, Jr., by trade a Cabinet Maker. Said fellow is a very dark mulatto, 28 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches high, very likely, stout and well made, with a stiff beard. No particular mark recollected, except that one of the fingers of his left hand has recently been very sore, and a very peculiar expression of his eyes. He has a blue Broadcloth Frock Coat, with fine buttons; blue sattinet pants, and figured Marseilles vest; a grey sattinet coat, with pockets outside, and metal buttons; a brown Camlet Cloak with green lining; a black fur Hat, and many other old clothes. I will give a reward of $25 to any person apprehending and securing said fellow, if taken up in this State, and $50 if taken up and secured any where without the State. Said fellow is very cunning and plausible, can read and write, and may have provided himself with a forged pass or free papers. JOHN W. BAKER. Fayetteville, Feb. 28, 1846
