Forty Pounds Reward. RUN-AWAY from the Subscriber, near Duplin Court-House, on the 26th of December last, TWO NEGROES, a Fellow and a Wench, both of a yellow complexion. The Fellow is about five feet six inches [illegible] well made, speaks plain and loud; carried with him a blue broad cloath coat and jacket, and a pair of leather breeches; he was formerly the property of Michael Payne, Esq.[Esquire] of Edenton, his name is Dick, Virginia born, about 35 years of age, plays on the fiddle. The Wench is called CLARY, of a middle size, but rather fleshy, had a thick under lip and bad teeth, she was the property of the present Governor Johnston; she carried with her a white linen and calico gown, a clouded habit and red cloak, with some homepsun cloaths, she is very handy in any kind of house or needlework, and is about thirty years old. They are both very artful, and it is expected they will attempt to pass as free people and make northwardly. Whoever apprehends the said negroes, and secures them in any district jail [illegible] state so that they may be got [illegible] shall be entitled to TWENTY POUNDS REWARD, and if apprehended in any other state and brought home to the above reward.
