$150 REWARD! RUNAWAY from Savannah, on the 6th July, 1849, my Mulatto man PATRICK ; his color is very bright, straight hair, color of hair deep red, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, aged 24 years, slim built, cooper by trade. He left in company with his brother who goes by the name of ADAM MENDENHALL, a Barber by trade. ADAM is a darker Mulatto than PATRICK ; round shouldered, hair black and inclined a little to curl. He is 40 years age, and may, from his trade, being a Barber, endeavor to alter their hair by coloring or using a wig. They may endeavor to pass for white or free persons, as ADAM is a very intelligent negro, and can read and write. PATRICK cannot do either. I will give Fifty Dollars Reward for Patrick delivered in any Jail so that I can get him. DAVID R. DILLON. The above named boys went off in a wagon, as pedlars. ADAM is also a Runaway, and for his apprehension and safe delivery to me at any Southern Jail, I will pay ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. For the arrest and proofs to convict any White accomplice they may be travelling with, the above Reward shall be doubled--as I am satisfied that ADAM has been enticed away. EDWIN DeLEON. Any information relative to them, should be addressed to DAVID R. DILLON, Savannah, or EDWIN DeLEON, Columbia, S. C. August 8th, 1849. 63 1
