NORTHUMBERLAND, October 20, 1775.
RUN away from the Subscriber, a Negro Man named BEN. He is about 25 Years old, middle sized, and very black. When he went away (which is about 3 Months since) he had on such Clothes as Negroes commonly wear in Summer. He has a Scar over one of his Eyes, which was occasioned by a Burn when young; is a pretty good Sawyer, and can do a little at the Carpenter's Work. I will give 5 l. Reward to any Person who delivers him to me, if taken in this Colony; if in Maryland or Carolina , 10 l. I imagine some Person has forged a Pass for him, that he may travel as a Freeman.
