Mount Harmony, LOUISA
March 23, 1770.
RUN awya on the 19th instand, a likely Virginia born Negro named Emanuel, about 6 feet high, by trade a sawyer, well made, middle aged, speaks remarkably well, and has a great knack of insinuation; he was cloathed in blue plains, but perhaps may change his cloaths, as he carried sundry others with him, and endeavour to pass from a freeman, having assurance enough to undertake anything that will prevent him from beign conveyed home; in order to have which done, I will give a reward of FORTY SHILLINGS, besides the allowance by law.
JOHN FOX.
