RUN away from the subscriber in Lancaster , on Wednesday morning, the 1st of this instant ( May ) a short well set mulatto slave named APPLEBY, who is a weaver by trade, and has been much used to run away, for which he has been severely whipped, the marks whereof may be plainly seen. He has thick lips, and squints a little; his clothing a Virginia cotton shirt, striped Virginia cloth jacket and breeches, striped Virginia cloth wrappers, and old shoes. Whoever apprehends the said fellow, and delivers him to me, shall have 5l. reward, if taken ten miles from home, if under that distance 40 s.
